about

"'Mirrors' is an antidote for the pandemic and what spurred from it, an existential examination," Morison explains. "For the first time, I think the world stopped long enough for us to take a good look at ourselves. All those thoughts and feelings that were pushed aside on our day-to-day grind came to the foreground, and we could no longer deny our own reflection."

Delivered by a genre-bending songwriter, "Mirrors" embraces everything from Nick Cave's greasy, visceral poetics to anarcho punk's angular compositions. There's even a tinge of early Pink Floyd psychedelia, laced with balkan guitar, sax, violin, unisons and the lingering overtones of futuristic doom. As poet/journalist Noah C. Lekas offers, "'Mirrors' is the sound of David Byrne scoring Quentin Tarantino's long anticipated sci-fi movie."

lyrics

Should of covered their eyes
Should of let them not see
Should of found a way to make them all believe
I trusted my own pain
I trusted my own truth
Dug up the shallow graves
Cause it always leads back to you

You’re just another number
Another try at fame
Circus, bread and virtual sex
And other chains to keep you tame
We can list all the riddles
Write them down on the wall
Build an empire on our conviction
And in the end we kill them all

Im here waiting for the quarantine
Im here waiting for the one outside
They see me coming and they burn the books
Turn their heads where they’re told to look
Pandemonium behave
Pandemic is the latest craze
Find a way, find a way, find a way
Run away,

Hours, oh hours
Will we ever turn back time
Hunting and wanting
We just chase till it dies

Ancient, oh ancient
All I hear is the call to war
If you listen
You shall never
Never find your way home
